About NES

An award-winning, high-quality service

Now working with nearly 200 hospitals and clinics throughout the country, NES is truly the UK’s market leader in the provision of managed doctor services. We are the most popular destination for International Medical Graduates outside of the NHS, and our tried-and-trusted pathway enables us to help hundreds of doctors every year to establish their careers in the UK.

For over 20 years, NES has been a leading name in the provision of Resident Doctor services at Independent Hospitals in the UK. We now work with over 150 private hospitals and clinics across the country.

Since the establishment of our Training Centre in 2007, we have been at the forefront of the drive to improve standards within the industry. Our commitment to language and clinical assessments of doctors from all backgrounds has helped to reduce adverse incidents to negligible levels.

We continue to work in partnership with our hospital clients to develop a rigorous and effective recruitment pathway that results in the safe delivery of medical services to our patients.

Our goal is to provide quality and continuity in our doctor rotations, giving our clients the peace of mind that only comes from a truly reliable service.

In recent years this service has been adapted to meet the needs of the NHS. Our rapidly increasing number of Trusts, hospitals and rotations reflects the extent to which we have been able to successfully address the acute shortage of doctors in the UK and to do so in a way that simultaneously reduces overall expenditure.

Clinical governance is a priority, with every aspect of our service subject to regular review and audit. The high level of compliance we achieve is testament to the commitment of our experienced team, and provides our clients with the assurance that NES is a trusted partner.

Our senior management team, led by Managing Director Peter Sheppard, ensures that our systems and processes are continually developed, and significant investment is put in to ensure that NES remains the pre-eminent name in the sector.
