Bereavement 'increases heart attack risk'

10 January 2012

From the BBC website:

A recent bereavement could dramatically increase the risk of having a heart attack among those who are already vulnerable, according to a new report.

The study, in the Journal of the American Heart Association, said that the risk of a heart attack was significantly greater the day after a bereavement, and was still higher than normal a month later.
