NES has developed a robust medical resourcing infrastructure in order to negate the effect of short-term fluctuations in the supply of doctors from various regions.
We have our own dedicated Medical Resourcing Team based in the UK and source doctors from all over the world. Every year applications are received from doctors of many different nationalities.
Enrolment of high-quality medical professionals is of paramount importance to us and doctors seeking employment with NES are required to go through a strict enrolment process which typically takes 6 months or more. This time is taken to ensure that each and every doctor is properly assessed and approved as being suitable to work in the UK.
The stages of enrolment that a doctor is required to pass include:
- Medical English screening test
- Telephone assessment
- CV review by clinical team
- Evidence of completion of key skills
- Mandatory training
- Training and assessment courses (link to relevant page in training section)
- Practical interview
At any one of these stages, a doctor’s enrolment can be halted if they do not meet the required standard.
In the last 5 years, NES has enrolled over 750 doctors using this process. It is a tried and trusted programme that results in doctors who are fit for purpose in our client hospitals.
