The Health and Care Act 2022 introduced a statutory requirement that health and social care providers that are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), must ensure their staff receive learning disability and autism training appropriate to their role. This training will help ensure that staff have the right knowledge and skills to provide safe and informed care.
The Oliver McGowan Part 2 training is in-person and delivered at our Training Centre in Aylesbury from 8.45am – 3pm. The day is hosted by a Facilitator alongside 2 co-trainers in who are qualified to deliver the Oliver McGowan training - one having lived in experience of learning disability and one having lived in experience of autism.
All attendees wanting to complete the Tier 2 must have competed Tier 1 training. The Oliver McGowan Tier 1 e-learning can be completed for free via NHS England.
Certificates are valid for 3 years
