The World Health Organisation, who work closely with the Government, knew last March that a dangerous new strain of flu had come about.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman has suggested that ministers may have known nearly a year ago there was a strain of influenza circulating, which the flu vaccine wouldn’t protect against.

It raises serious concerns about why millions of elderly Britons who took the flu jab over the winter weren’t warned that they stayed unprotected to certain strains of flu.

Public Health England has declared that the vaccine hardly works and could bring the largest number of winter deaths in 15 years.
